I am a London-based Set and Costume Designer. Having graduated with a BA in Design for Performance from RWCMD, my practice ranges from professional theatre to community projects at home & abroad. My visceral, arresting set and costume designs for The Orange Tree Theatre production of ‘Revolt. She said. Revolt Again.’ are an example, setting the tone for my recent work.  At the core of my practice is relationship - with the client’s vision, the actors, the characters and with the script itself. My approach to the work is personal and I prioritise the understanding and empathy required for these relationships to flourish. I demonstrate expertise in costume, set design and prop making and fluency in AutoCAD and Sketchup to realise these visions. Experimentation is similarly important, and a key part of my process is drawing. The physical act of sketching always underpins my thinking. Whatever the budget or other constraints, I enjoy the challenge of finding a solution – there always is one!
